As the senior partner and founder of the firm, Robert J. Glasgow’s practice is concentrated primarily on litigation and trial work. A brief history of his adult life begins with his discharge from the U.S. Army when he enrolled in Tarleton State University, serving as Student Body President. After graduation from Tarleton, he attended and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law and later became administrative assistant to Governor Preston Smith.
He left Austin in 1970 and opened a private law practice with his cousin and fellow attorney, Donald R. Jones, who now serves as the District Judge of the 266th Judicial District Court of Erath County, Texas. He continued in practice for two years and later was elected District Attorney for the 29th Judicial District, which at that time comprised the counties of Erath, Palo Pinto and Hood. He served in this capacity for eight years and then was elected to serve as a State Senator to represent the 22nd Senatorial District where he served for the next twelve years. During his tenure as a State Senator, he served on many powerful and influential committees, having been appointed as Chairman of The Rules Committee, the Jurisprudence Committee and the State Affairs Committee. He also served as President Pro Tem of the Senate, serving on many occasions as Governor of Texas and was honored in 1991 as Governor for a Day at a statewide ceremony at the State Capitol in Austin, Texas.
R. Shay Isham is Board Certified in Criminal Law, by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has extensive jury trial experience in criminal cases including murder, DWI, possession of controlled substances, sexual assault, indecency, burglary and theft.
R. Shay Isham has been licensed to practice law since 1996. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law, by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Isham is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas.
He has extensive jury trial experience in criminal cases including murder, DWI, possession of controlled substances, sexual assault, indecency, burglary and theft. He is married, and a father of three.
Robert J. “Jody” Glasgow, Jr. is a litigator with extensive experience in preparing and trying jury and bench trials in multiple areas of the law. His primary focus lies in family law and custody cases, but he has abundant experience in business and general civil litigation, personal injury, criminal law, and estate and probate matters.
Mr. Glasgow attended The University of Texas at Austin and Tarleton State University in his hometown of Stephenville, Texas where he graduated as a distinguished student with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduation, he attended law school at the Oklahoma City University School of Law. After earning his Doctorate of Jurisprudence, Robert was admitted to the Texas Bar and began a diversified practice at Glasgow, Isham & Glasgow in the areas of family and domestic cases, civil litigation with emphasis on personal injury, criminal law, and family law.
Jody is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, Family Law Section, Criminal Law Section, Civil Law Section and Personal Injury Law Section. He is a member of the Erath, Hood, and Parker County Bar Associations. He is also a member of Masonic Lodge No. 267, Stephenville, Texas, Masonic Lodge No. 564, Hannibal, Texas, and Masonic Lodge No. 2000 Tranquility Lodge, Waco, Texas and a member of the Fort Worth Scottish Rite Bodies.
Jody is a father of two, and active in his community where he coaches his daughter’s soccer team. He is a member of the Stephenville Optimist Club, Granbury Optimist Club, Stephenville Chamber of Commerce and Granbury Chamber of Commerce.
